While our course and resort are a gorgeous getaway, our initial intent was far more than just a getaway destination. In the end, we focused all efforts on the transformation and revitalization of the surrounding Southwest Michigan area. Transforming the lives of many people, creating new jobs, restaurants, and the development of affordable housing. Harbor Shores resort has been a project aimed at bettering the area while creating something unique.

The Best Championship Golf Course
Aside from being the only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course on Lake Michigan, we feature unique, remarkably diverse gameplay. Challenging golfers and offering a spectacular setting to play in. Over a complete game, golfers enjoy a variety of challenges broken into sections:
- Holes 1-6—Players start in the inland terrain with challenging prevailing winds where accuracy is a requirement
- Holes 7-9—In this leg of the course, the holes are in a Dunes terrain with challenging pars, but players can enjoy dramatic views of Lake Michigan
- Holes 10-13—Then the course shifts into Woodlands terrains, winding through rolling hills, ravines, and hardwood forest
- Holes 14-18—Bordering the Paw Paw River, Ox Creek, and its wetlands, placing water hazards at every turn
